Finally. Finally we get the worthy Monday Night Football match up. The new and beasty Chiefs against the new and tougher Skins. Funny what 3 weeks of football can do to our perception. The Chiefs seem like the scariest thing in Football with Alex Smith doing his job while nurturing the new and talented quarterback he is about to break him in as his replacement. Hunt is breaking NFL records making us to forget Zeke and his last season while long ball receptions of over 50 yards have happened in each of the games this season. And, I didn't mention Kelce yet. All the offensive tools are clicking and the most opportunistic defense in the league is looking forward to rip the ball out of the hands of the Skins. The Chiefs are overwhelming playing at home on front of the awesome Arrowhead crowd that makes the one in Seattle sound like murmuring sheep. The last time the Chiefs played the MNF was a 41-14 destruction of the Patriots at Arrowhead precisely 3 years ago. So. What there is more to say. The Chiefs are so much better in all the departments in this game....Well, may be the Skins defense has something to say about that Chiefs are the Greatest statement. May be.
Ok. Just one small question: if all is so clear and good in favor of Reid and his Chiefs - how come the line has come down all the way from the Chiefs -9.5 to a mere Chiefs -7 with +100 odds? Is that because this is the game they pay for that ridiculous win in Foxborough?
I don't really know the reason for such dramatic line drop - but, I can say that the line drop looks very much like the line drops on the Rams game in Dallas and the Bills game in Atlanta.
