In the first game of best of seven playoff series in Eastern Conference Quarterfinals - Boston Bruins will welcome Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday evening at the Boston Garden.
There is lot of interest surrounding these series between two very attractive teams in the NHL playoffs. The rivalry, the questions like: How and with weapons will Toronto coach Mike Babcock encounter Boston's Bruce Cassidy and his on-ice assets? Or, how will Auston Matthews handle Bergeron's line? What will Mitch Marner's impact look alike, if at all? Which goalie will prevail? Andersen or Rask?
No doubt these will be most watched and betted series. So, we have to prepare accordingly knowing Vegas and the Media are not about to let this opportunity to cash in so early in the playoffs to slip away.
We have to compare between the presumed outcomes of at least 4 games if not all seven, and, what will public presume before each game. Or, may be we approach with simple assumption instead of presuming: if there is at least one game won by each team - how can we martingale it in a calculated and "civil" way?
To be honest, I prefer the second option approaching these and any playoff series early stages. With such clip as 4 to 7 games - you never know what games are marked on what side. Because, statistically speaking - we have a pretty even match up here with slight advantage to the Leafs as they have proven during the regular season winning 3 games against Bruins 1 victory.
So, what team we better choose here? Both teams have great scoring lines and the line stands at 6 anticipating the betting folk to go for it and pound the over between the teams that score more than 3 goals each per game (3.29 Leafs and 3.26 Bruins) according to the regular season average. Their defenses aren't stiff neither both allowing more than 2.5 goals per game (Leafs 2.80 and Bruins 2.57). But, the Ice Hockey betting public is not stupid. Most support under knowing that the most games between those two (3 out of 4) and 2 out of 3 games last night - ended up in under.
So, after going all the possible options - we will weigh in for the second game on the sides and start our system on under from the first one.
