Very interesting match up in a very interesting juncture at this moment of the season.
The Chiefs and the Saints - both clinched playoff berths some time ago. They are both offensive minded teams that will rather outscore the opposition in a shootout manner than digging the trenches. So, obviously the quarterbacks are very instrumental in their games. And they both have great quarterbacks and other offensive tools. In that other offensive tools department the Chiefs have an advantage offensively while the Saints can only slow the Chiefs defensively with Lattimore against Mahomes.
Since we're dealing here with Andy Reid and he knows Payton is limited offensively cause Brees is coming off bruised ribs and punctured lung injury and although his replacement - Taysom Hill did a good job going 3-1 in Brees absence, it will be against Reid's philosophy to take an advantage of a fellow coach's disadvantages forced upon him and turn it into Payton's shortcoming. That is not Andy Reid. Especially when the third string QB of the saints has been placed on VOVID-19 reserve list.
